Due to damaged and licked iron sheet, it was very difficult for the students and teachers to continue class during rainy, cold and windy weather. There was also lack of safe drinking water and sanitation facilities in the school premises. As a result, students were vulnerable to diseases and used to complain about water and vector-borne diseases like, diarrhea, dysentery etc. The presence of students had been declining day by day due to such inconveniences and lack of proper teaching environment. Respective WC took the initiative to construct a new school building giving preference of community people’s needs under LGSP-II in FY 2013-14. Total cost was BDT 12,67,000. Respective WC and SSC completed both ‘Form A’ and ‘Form B’ before and after the construction and took necessary measures. During construction work, fog made by different construction materials like sand, brick, cement was minimized through spraying water for keeping healthy environment. Sandy soil was used for plinth raising keeping top soil of cultivable land and a guide wall was constructed to protect soil erosion of the school ground. The highest flood level (HFL) and probability of cyclone for building strength and raised plinth were considered; Arsenic level test was done for the tube well water. Social screening by the prescribed format did not find any negative issues. For example, the scheme did not need any land acquisition; there was no ethnic community at scheme area.   Md.
