Senior Finance Specialist
Local Governance Support Project-3 (LGSP-3)
Mr. S M Abdul Mottalib FCMA has been working as Senior Finance Specialist in Local Governance Support Project-3 (LGSP-3) since November, 2017. He did his Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Commerce in Management from Govt. Jagannath College, Dhaka. He is a Cost and Management Accountant and Fellow of The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). He has more than 30 years experience of working in the area of Financial Management in supervisory and managerial position in national, multinational, government’s autonomous organization and also as individual consultant of foreign aided development project. He is a member of “SAFA and International Relations Committee” of The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).
Mr. Mottalib served in The ACME Laboratories Limited, Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL), Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) and Cowater International, Inc. in various capacities. He served as individual consultant in the capacity of Financial Management Specialist, Finance Manager and Senior Finance Specialist in different World Bank funded project. Prior to joining Local Governance Support Project-3 (LGSP-3), he served Bangladesh Water Supply Program Project (BWSPP) under Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) under University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC), Local Governance Support Project (LGSP) and Second Local Governance Support Project (LGSP-2) under Local Government Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives.
Mr. Mottalib has participated in a number of training programs, Continuing Development Programs (CPD), workshops, national and international seminars both at home and abroad. He has completed training course on Great Plains Dynamics enterprise accounting software from Corporate Renaissance Group, Ottawa, Canada in 1999. He has participated in 10th Strategic Information Management Program (SIMP) in Ottawa, Canada in 2004 and presented action plan on “Introducing Information Management and Information Technology for Sustainable Enhanced Financial Management in the Ministry of Water Resources”. He travelled UK, USA, Canada, UAE and India.
